It features Gore\u2019s slide show on global warming, and has been a critical and box office success.  It has become the third highest grossing documentary in history, raking in more than $24 million.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Democratic presidential candidate in 2000, Gore told the Associated Press, \u201cThe film has brought awareness of the climate crisis to people in the United States and all over the world.  I am so grateful to the entire team and pleased that the Academy has recognized their work. This film proves that movies can make a difference. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nAfter the movie, Moran will lead a discussion session about some of the questions raised in the film.
