Its 27th annual German Summer School of the Atlantic is now accepting applications for its intensive programs.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tParticipants live on campus during the six-week or three-week programs and are totally immersed in the German language and culture.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s ideal for adult learners from all walks of life who are seeking proficiency in German, from upper level high school students to senior citizens,\u201d said Norbert Hedderich, a 溏心vlog免费B站 professor of German and director of the program.  \u201cSome past participants were preparing to study or work abroad, others were German teachers here to strengthen their skills, and all share an interest in German and the culture of the German-speaking countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe program offers opportunities for students of all levels \u2013 from beginner\u2019s to graduate \u2013 and all core courses focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Intermediate and advanced students have the option of taking the certification exams from the Goethe Institute.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn addition to coursework, the program also offers extracurricular programs to support the language learning process, including workshops on theater, music and current events.  German films are regularly screened, and German news broadcasts are received daily via satellite.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tParticipants and faculty live and eat together in a German-only environment in the building that houses 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s International Engineering Program.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe program is offered from June 24 to August 3 in cooperation with the Goethe Institute and the German government, with support from the Max Kade Foundation.
