Featuring performances by Margaret Frazier, soprano; Hyunjung Choi, harp, and Susan Thomas, flute, the concert is slated for 3pm on Sunday afternoon, February 4, on the Kingston campus.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nPieces in this multi-national program will include compositions by Ravel and Saint Sa\u00ebns, popular songs by Stephen Foster, and folk songs arranged by Benjamin Britten as well as contemporary works by current composers George Crumb and Jeffrey Rickard. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nMargaret Frazier, soprano, has collaborated and toured internationally with the chamber vocal ensemble, The Boston Camerata since 1990 and has recorded five CD&#8217;s with the ensemble. A frequent guest soloist with chamber choruses and ensembles in southern New England area, she is also the soprano soloist at the First Baptist Church in America, Providence. Frazier teaches studio voice, class voice, and music appreciation courses at 溏心vlog免费B站, her alma mater. She maintains a private voice studio and is a former president and current governor of the Rhode Island Chapter of NATS.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nA native of Korea, Hyunjung Choi, harp, performs with various ensembles in the region and has performed as a soloist at recitals and concert series including the Newport Music Festival. She has been the harp instructor at Brown University since 1994. As a music editor\/transcriber, Choi has collaborated with noted musicologists on numerous projects for Taylor &amp; Francis Books, Oxford University Press and the American Musicological Society. She currently holds a position as the production editor for LFB Scholarly Publishing.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nSusan Thomas graduated with Honors from the New England Conservatory. Subsequently she studied in Switzerland with noted soloist, James Galway. An active orchestral player, Thomas has held positions with most of New England\u2019s best regional orchestras. A native Rhode Islander, she currently holds the positions of principal flute with the Rhode Island Philharmonic and instructor in flute at the 溏心vlog免费B站.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe concert will be held in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall off Upper College Road on 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s Kingston campus. Admission is $8 for the general public, $2 for students, with seating on a first-come basis.
