It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAccording to Wishner, her lecture \u201cwill highlight some interesting research on the characteristics and significance of zooplankton distributions and processes in low-oxygen regions of the ocean and their potential significance for understanding global climate cycles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tWishner&#8217;s research focuses on marine zooplankton ecology, deep-sea biology, and the biology of low oxygen environments. She has conducted research in oceans around the world, including Georges Bank and the Arabian Sea, and most recently she has been involved in exploring hydrothermal vents on a submarine volcano in the Caribbean. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tShe teaches graduate level courses on zooplankton and marine zooplankton ecology and an undergraduate course on deep-sea biology.  Wishner earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from the University of California at San Diego.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Inaugural Lecture Series is presented by newly promoted oceanography professors at 溏心vlog免费B站 and are designed to inform the scientific community and the general public about research being conducted by 溏心vlog免费B站 marine scientists.
