The abundance of choices leaves many women confused about what is best for them.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nDeb Erickson-Owens, a seasoned nurse-midwife, will guide women through the tangled web of information at the 溏心vlog免费B站 Wednesday, March 12.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nHer talk, \u201cNavigating the Birth Control Maze,\u201d will be held at 7 p.m. in Independence Hall Auditorium, 60 Upper College Road, Kingston Campus. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/sites\/16\/2021\/05\/BirthControlMethods.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"216\" align=\"left\"\/>Her lecture, free and open to the public, will address the current methods available and offer insight, education, and recommendations to assist women in making more informed choices. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nErickson-Owen has worked with women for 20 years providing family planning and pregnancy care. A former director of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Nurse-Midwifery Program, she is currently practicing in the Providence area.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cThis issue is very important for college students because there are many new methods and choices for young women,\u201d said Karen Stein director of 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s Women Studies Program and professor of English.  \u201cThe students need to know about the pluses and minuses of the different forms of birth control.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nLast year the price of birth control soared when drug companies ended their deep discounts, bringing a new financial challenge students have to face.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Women Studies Program presents the Fredrika Schweers Memorial Lecture on Women and Health each spring semester.
