{"id":66207,"date":"2008-02-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-02-06T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-to-present-the-vagina-monologues-feb-14-15-16\/"},"modified":"2008-02-06T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2008-02-06T00:00:00","slug":"uri-to-present-the-vagina-monologues-feb-14-15-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2008\/02\/uri-to-present-the-vagina-monologues-feb-14-15-16\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 to present The Vagina Monologues, Feb. 14, 15, 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 February 6, 2008 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站 will host three productions of the award-winning play The Vagina Monologues Feb. 14, 15, and 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom, 50 Lower College Road, Kingston campus.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe productions, a joint effort of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Peer Advocates and the University\u2019s Violence Prevention &amp; Advocacy Services (VPAS), are part of the annual V-Day College Campaign, in which thousands of colleges across the world raise money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls.  This is the sixth year that 溏心vlog免费B站 has presented the play.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe play is a compilation of monologues performed by various women that address the issues of violence against women, especially rape, domestic violence and genital mutilation.  The play is unorthodox and at times shocking.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tTickets are $7 for 溏心vlog免费B站 students and $10 for the general public.  Tickets are available at the door or can be reserved in advance by calling 874-9293.  Doors open at 7 p.m.  All proceeds will benefit the global V-Day campaign and 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s VPAS.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n溏心vlog免费B站 Peer Advocates are a team of specially trained students who provide interactive workshops and programs to educate and increase awareness regarding the issues of dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, date rape and related topics.
