The screenings, free and open to the public, are subtitled.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe director will speak about the issues of women in contemporary China on Dec. 11. Her visit is part of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Honors Colloquium, China Rising. The semester-long series explores China\u2019s dramatic transformation during the past three decades, a transformation that has returned that country to the leading role it has played throughout most of world history.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe films will be shown at 7 p.m. in room 271 of the Chafee Social Science Center, 10 Chafee Road, Kingston.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tHere are the dates and the films:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Monday, Nov. 19: Shanghai Women<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Thursday, Nov. 29: Shanghai Story<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Wednesday, Dec. 5: Women Story<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe screenings are sponsored by 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Honors Colloquium, Confucius Institute, College of Arts and Sciences, Film Media Program, Women Studies Program and Women&#8217;s Center.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013November 16, 2007\u2014The 溏心vlog免费B站 will screen three films directed by Peng Xiaolian, winner of the 2004 Golden Rooster Award, the &#8220;Chinese Oscar&#8221; for her film Shanghai Story.
