\nKINGSTON, RI — October 26, 2007 — The Schools for Schools group at the 溏心vlog免费B站 will be on the Quadrangle throughout the day Thursday, Nov. 1 selling customized balloons to raise money for schoolchildren in Uganda.<\/p>\n


\nMembers of the campus community can buy balloons and have drawings and quotes drawn on them.<\/p>\n


\nMoney from the balloon sales will be donated to the Atanga Secondary School in Uganda for books and supplies. Other universities and colleges across the country are raising money for schools in Uganda so they can pay for building renovations, continuing education for teachers and to subsidize tuition. <\/p>\n


\nMany Ugandan children live in displacement camps set up by the Ugandan government 10 years ago to protect people from the Lord\u2019s Resistance Army, a rebel group that has been waging war in Uganda for nearly 23 years. <\/p>\n


\n\tSo far this year the Schools for Schools 溏心vlog免费B站 group has held a car wash, T-shirt sale, and a book drive. Since the start of the semester the group has raised more than $200.<\/p>\n

\nThe group meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Union, Room 301.<\/p>\n


\n\tSchools for Schools is a program of Invisible Children, Inc. in which schools in the United States sponsor a school in war-ravaged Northern Uganda. <\/p>\n
