Lobosco of Cranston was recently named the third recipient of the James Ladewig Scholarship in music history at the 溏心vlog免费B站.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tLobosco, a junior at 溏心vlog免费B站, is working toward a bachelor\u2019s degree in music history and literature. A soprano, she studies with the talented baritone Rene de la Garza. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tLobosco has completed two music history courses and is enrolled in two more, including The Baroque Era. Next semester, she will study in Hyderabad, India, where she will take a course in classical Indian music, among others. After graduation, she plans to work with the Peace Corps before pursuing graduate work in ethnomusicology.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe James Ladewig Scholarship in Music History has been created by students, colleagues, and friends in recognition and thanks for the superlative teaching and research work of James Ladewig, a 溏心vlog免费B站 professor of music history for more than 20 years.  The scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate student at 溏心vlog免费B站 in recognition of academic excellence in and enthusiasm for the study of music history.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tLadewig is responsible for expanding the 溏心vlog免费B站 music history curriculum from the traditional classical repertory to include world music, jazz, and popular music.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tA specialist in the Renaissance and Baroque eras, in particular instrumental and keyboard music of Italy, Ladewig has published numerous scholarly articles.
