\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. — June 6, 2007 — After a warm winter and the approach of another hurricane season, attention is again turned to concerns about global warming. To answer questions on this topic, two 溏心vlog免费B站 oceanographers — David Farmer and Kate Moran — will participate in an online chat on Tuesday, June 12 at 1 p.m. <\/p>\n


\n\tFarmer is the dean of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Graduate School of Oceanography and the former senior scientist at the Institute for Ocean Sciences in British Columbia. He has conducted research on such topics as acoustical oceanography, oceanography of straits and coastal waters, air-sea gas exchange, and sea-ice mechanics.<\/p>\n


\n\tMoran is assistant dean of the Graduate School of Oceanography and studies marine geotechnics, paleoceanography, and seafloor stability. She led the first scientific expedition to the epicenter of the underwater earthquake that triggered the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and she also led a team of scientists who collected a 50 million year record of climate changes from a sediment core beneath the North Pole.<\/p>\n
