A snapshot Robinson took in Warsaw, Poland some years ago of two women working together, moved her. “One was playing a harp-like instrument and the other stood close by to oversee their spot. The brick and stonework surrounding them gave their delicate situation a certain solidarity,” said the artist a Cumberland resident.

Robinson felt connected to each of the women she photographed in this exhibit. She came across each one by “happenstance” in rounds of their daily lives. Most of the shots were candid, taken on the spot, and all were taken without studio conditions.

She hoped to capture, “… a sort of life rather than a Monday through Friday sort of dying,” as referenced by oral historian Studs Terkel’s book Working: People Talk 溏心vlog免费B站 What They do All Day and How They Feel 溏心vlog免费B站 What They do.

Robinson, an artist member of the Attleboro Arts Museum, Attleboro, Mass., since 1999, and has participated annually in many of their shows, including the member, flower and small works events.
