\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I.\u2014June 2, 2009 — Students from Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick took home three of the four first-place trophies during Chemistry Day at the 溏心vlog免费B站 on May 19. Han Xu, a student at East Greenwich High School, won first place in individual competition for Division 1, thereby preventing a shut out.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe contest has continuously been offered to Rhode Island high school students since 1921. More than 470 students from 15 high schools competed in this year\u2019s program.


\n\tThe competition consists of a 45-question, multiple-choice exam, which must be completed in an hour. Prizes are awarded to the top team and top three individuals in each of two divisions. Division 1 is made up of students with less than one full year of high school chemistry and Division 2 includes students with more than one year of high school chemistry.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe team competition was held in 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Edwards Auditorium. Students who wished to take the test as individual competitors did so in 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Chafee Social Science Center.<\/p>\n

\n\tTeam members from Hendricken competing in Division 1 were Nick Chrones, Shreyyas Vanarese, Ben Caesar, Tom Whittaker, Ryan Meehan, Zach Padula, Mark Rotondo, and Cam Rinn. Hendricken team members competing in Division 2 were Philip Berard, Ryan Trottier, Michael Desmarais, Prasanth Somasundar, Brandon Maziuk, Conrad Kaczmarek, and Steven Morgan. Hendricken\u2019s Trottier took home the top individual prize in Division 2.<\/p>\n
