{"id":64413,"date":"2009-02-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-02-17T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-forensic-science-seminar-feb-20\/"},"modified":"2009-02-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-02-17T00:00:00","slug":"uri-forensic-science-seminar-feb-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2009\/02\/uri-forensic-science-seminar-feb-20\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 Forensic Science seminar Feb. 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tHomeland security lessons from Israel topic of <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nKINGSTON, R.I.-February 17, 2009 \u2013 Homeland security based on Israel\u2019s experience will be the topic of the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Forensic Science Seminar Friday, Feb. 20.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nAmit Gavish will speak on \u201cHomeland Security, Lessons Learned from Israel,\u201d from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 124 of Pastore Hall, located at 51 Lower College Road, Kingston.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nGavish is managing director of corporate intelligence and investigation for SSC Intelligence a firm based in Shelton, Conn. that provides security consulting, implementation, and investigative services for clients that range in size from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nFor 12 years, Gavish served as deputy director of security in the Office of the President of Israel.  In addition, Gavish has served as a staff sergeant in Israel\u2019s Defense Forces infantry. Because of his experience, Gavish is a recognized expert on counter-terrorism. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nGavish also has experience working as a research assistant at Harvard University where he conducted research on radical Islamic groups, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and Persian Gulf security concerns.
