Heppner<\/a>, a professor of biological sciences is an expert in the structure and function of organized groups of moving animals, particularly birds.<\/p>\n


\n\tHe has researched the role of chaos in the behavioral systems of birds, and was a private pilot for 30 years. <\/p>\n


\n\tThough not an expert in bird strikes, Heppner does have expertise in the flight patterns of Canada geese.<\/p>\n


\n\tAs a pilot, he has an inherent understanding of the potential dangers that geese can present for an aircraft.<\/p>\n
