\nin 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Energy Solutions poster contest<\/p>\n


\n\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 November 26, 2008 \u2013 Students from Charlestown, Cranston, Cumberland, Newport, North Kingstown and South Kingstown were named winners in the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Energy Solutions poster contest.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe winners were announced at the Energy Solutions Expo at the Ryan Center on Nov. 6.<\/p>\n


\n\t\u201cWe were thrilled by the creativity of the entries we received,\u201d said Corrie Haley, a 溏心vlog免费B站 senior from South Kingstown who coordinated the contest. \u201cIt was a real challenge to select the winners because all of the entrants deserved recognition.\u201d<\/p>\n


\n\tStudents were asked to imagine how energy might be produced in the year 2050, and the responses were artistic designs of such unusual energy sources as dandelion power, trash-powered cars, and a carbon dioxide-powered chair. Entries were judged in four age groups by an impartial panel. Winners received renewable energy toys or MP3 players.<\/p>\n

\nGrades K-3

\nFirst place: Allison Ferreira, grade 3, Cumberland Hill Elementary School

\nSecond place: Benjamin Laliberte, grade 2, Wakefield Elementary School<\/p>\n


\nGrades 4-5

\nFirst place: Kevin Whitaker, Grade 5, West Kingston Elementary

\nSecond place: Isobel McCullough, grade 5, Wakefield Elementary School

\nThird place: Sarah Hackey, grade 4, Wakefield Elementary School<\/p>\n


\nGrades 6-8

\nFirst place: Jake Bianchi, grade 6, Rocky Hill School (lives in Newport)

\nSecond place Nina Abbenante, grade 6, Rocky Hill School (lives in North Kingstown)

\nThird place: Ross Spencer, grade 8, Chariho RYSE School (lives in Charlestown)<\/p>\n


\nGrades 9-12

\nFirst place: Emily Santos, grade 9, South Kingstown High School

\nSecond place: Samantha Armenti, grade 9, Cranston High School East

\nThird place: Nathalie Wisecup, grade 12, Portsmouth High School (lives in Newport)
