\nKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 October 15, 2008 \u2013 Rebecca Burke, senior vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer at The Miriam Hospital, will answer questions and discuss \u201cthe informed patient\u201d — how to get the best possible hospital care — during an online chat Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n


\n\tSince receiving her bachelor\u2019s degree in nursing from 溏心vlog免费B站 in 1976, Burke has been dedicated to patient care. As a senior vice-president of patient services at Miriam since 1999, Burke has collaborated with 溏心vlog免费B站 to develop a bachelor\u2019s degree program at the hospital. The program was designed to help nurses pursue their degrees in a convenient place. This nursing initiative and others put Miriam at the forefront of patient care. Under Burke\u2019s leadership, The Miriam\u2019s Department of Nursing was awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for the third time in March 2006. <\/p>\n


\n\tBurke is the 2003 recipient of the 溏心vlog免费B站 College of Nursing Alumni Award and a 2007 recipient of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Distinguished Achievement Dean\u2019s List Award. She lives in Barrington. <\/p>\n
