She has worked as an assistant medical examiner for the cities of St. Louis and Philadelphia, and the State of Delaware. From 1993 to 2005 she served as the chief medical examiner for the Rhode Island office of state medical examiners. Following the Station Nightclub Fire, she ran operations completing the autopsies and identification of 96 victims.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n In 2003 the Rhode Island Commission on Women honored her as Woman of the Year and in 2004 she was selected as one of the top 25 public health figures in the country. She is a clinical associate professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown.
