\n\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 September 11, 2008 \u2013 溏心vlog免费B站 oceanography professors Steven D\u2019Hondt and Arthur Spivack, two of the coordinators of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s 2008 Honors Colloquium, \u201cPeople and Planet: Global Environmental Change,\u201d will answer questions about global warming and the Honors Colloquium events in an online chat on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. <\/p>\n


\n\tD\u2019Hondt is a geological oceanographer who studies life in extreme environments \u2013 especially life in sub-seafloor sediments \u2013 and biological controls of ocean chemistry. Spivack is a chemical oceanographer whose research focuses on environmental and marine geochemistry.<\/p>\n


\nThe 2008 Honors Colloquium explores human-caused global change, its consequences and potential responses through a series of lectures, films, exhibits and a cabaret. <\/p>\n


\n\t\u201cHumans have been affecting our environment on a global scale for millennia,\u201d said D\u2019Hondt. \u201cThis year\u2019s colloquium is going to examine those changes and outline the kinds of choices people might make collectively to minimize their effects.\u201d<\/p>\n
