Matta graduates this month with her bachelor&#8217;s degree in music history and literature with a minor in women&#8217;s studies. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nMatta, who sings with 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s Concert Choir and also the elite small ensemble Lively Experiment, studies voice performance with Margaret Frazier. After graduation she plans to use the skills in research and writing gained in her history classes in her pursuit of a law degree.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nMatta is also a member of the Peer Advocates, a group that specializes in violence prevention and awareness on the 溏心vlog免费B站 campus. She has been involved with 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s production of the &#8220;Vagina Monologues&#8221; since her freshman year and last year directed this production, which is a fund raiser for the 溏心vlog免费B站 Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nCreated by students, colleagues, and friends in recognition of the superlative teaching and research work of Professor Ladewig, the James Ladewig Scholarship in Music History is awarded annually to an undergraduate in recognition of academic excellence in and enthusiasm for the study of music history.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nLadewig, who has taught music history at 溏心vlog免费B站 for more than 25 years, is responsible for expanding the curriculum from the traditional classical repertory to include world music, jazz, and popular music.
