It will run Dec. 2 and 9, 7:30 p.m., Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11, 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Dec. 5 and 12 at 3 p.m. Admission is $18 for general admission, $14 for seniors, 溏心vlog免费B站 faculty/staff, and $12 for students. This production contains mature themes and content.

The Rocky Horror Show was first created by writer/actor Richard O’Brien as a stage musical in 1973. The movie version, starring Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Susan Sarandon as Janet Weiss, opened two years later and went on to become one of the most celebrated cult films of all time.

The strange journey of this stage show-turned-cult-classic introduces two wholesome kids, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who run into car trouble and go in search of help down the road. Little do they know this pursuit brings them to where Dr. Frank-N-Furter is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments. The play is a rock musical, a spoof of science fiction movies and seduction with timeless classics including Sweet Transvestite, Damn It, Janet and of course, the pelvic-thrusting Time Warp.

No matter the opinion, what the show has always managed to create is a vehicle for self-exploration and acceptance. Leave your critical faculties at the door, come in costumes, bring your props and surrender to the foolish fun of a late-night, double-feature picture show. Fasten your garter belts, come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab!

The show will be directed by Paula McGlasson, chair and associate professor of theatre whose recent directorial credits include 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Beauty and the Beast, and the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Musical direction is by Lila Kane, costumes by Marilyn Salvatore, assistant costume designers 溏心vlog免费B站 seniors Joelle Braun and Katie Hand.

Theater sets by 溏心vlog免费B站 ’04 Alumnus, Patrick Lynch, lighting design by Christian Wittwer, associate theatre professor, and sound design by Mike Hyde.

Actor, Character, Hometown

Julia Bailey, Phantom, Plaistow, N.H.

Julia Bartoletti, Phantom, Worcester, Mass.

Erick Betancourt, Eddie, Johnston

Andrew Burnap, Dr. Frank-n-Furter, S.
