\n\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 November 9, 2010 \u2013 Three Native American women will speak at the 溏心vlog免费B站 Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. Their lecture, \u201cNative in New England,\u201d will be delivered in Edwards Auditorium, 64 Upper College Road, Kingston. The talk, free and open to the public, is part of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s ongoing Honors Colloquium on RACE. Those unable to attend the lecture can watch it live online 溏心vlog免费B站 Live!<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n


\n\tJulianne Jennings, adjunct anthropology professor at Arizona State University, Paulla Dove Jennings, Narragansett Tribal Elder and curator at Tomaquag Museum and Wanda Jean Lord, executive director of Honoring Our Own Power, a non-profit organization dedicated to informing the public about Native Americans and offering services for their people, are the featured speakers. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur three speakers will provide historical and personal insights into what it is like to live in New England as a person of Native American descent and give perspective on how perceptions coming from dominant culture have consequently informed the identities and cultures of some of the First Nations\u2019 people in our area,\u201d said Kendall Moore, associate journalism professor and one of the coordinators of the fall colloquium.<\/p>\n
