The talk, free and open to the public, is part of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s ongoing Honors Colloquium on RACE. Those unable to attend the lecture can watch it live by going to www.uri.edu. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cShora was chosen to speak by the colloquium coordinators because of his leadership and work at the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee, which tries to educate and prevent unfair discrimination and stereotyping of Arabs and Arab-Americans,\u201d said Gail Faris, assistant director of student life and the Women\u2019s Center and one of the colloquium coordinators. \u201cIt was important to the committee to include a speaker of Arab decent because of misunderstandings, prejudice, and profiling that have historically existed, but have increased since 9\/11.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFor a complete, up-to-date schedule of the colloquium, visit www.uri.edu\/hc.
