It\u2019s everywhere\u2014in medicine, biotechnology, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, and physics. Even the brownies you eat for dessert are created with a chemical formula.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOn Nov. 2, Rhode Islanders will be asked to vote on a $78 million higher education referendum (#2) that seeks $61 million to finance a modern chemistry facility at 溏心vlog免费B站, designed with advanced research labs and classrooms in order to provide superior training for Rhode Island\u2019s knowledge-based economy.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tPotvin will speak about his educational experiences at 溏心vlog免费B站 on Oct. 4, as part of a higher education bond referendum kickoff hosted by ChemArt, a Lincoln-based company.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe future doctor got hooked on chemistry as a sophomore when he took organic chemistry with Professor Brett Lucht. Recognizing the young student\u2019s academic talent and enthusiasm, the professor asked him to become a member of his research group.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/sites\/16\/2021\/05\/PotvinLuchtNL033.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"149\" align=\"right\"\/>Since then, Potvin has worked in Lucht\u2019s lab year round.
