\nKINGSTON, R.I. — September 27, 2010 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s annual Landscape Architecture Lecture Series continues on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. with a lecture by Jeffrey Hyland, principal of Ironwood Design Group, who will discuss \u201cThe Importance of Team: How the Green Movement Has Changed the Playing Field.\u201d <\/p>\n


\nHis talk takes place in Weaver Auditorium in the Coastal Institute building on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Kingston campus. All the lectures in the series are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n


\nA 1994 graduate of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Landscape Architecture Program, Hyland will examine the role of landscape architects on a design team and how the green movement has changed the playing field for landscape designers. He will highlight some of his firm\u2019s recent projects where the environment, green urbanism and public facilitated design were paramount.<\/p>\n


\nBased in Exeter, N.H., Ironwood Design Group focuses on public sector design projects in collaboration with federal, state and local agencies and community groups, including the Garden of Peace Memorial in Boston, restoration of the Wriston Quadrangle at Brown University, and the Stormwater Center at the University of New Hampshire.<\/p>\n


\nHyland is an executive member of the Stratham, N.H. Planning Board and member of the Commercial District Master Plan Committee. He was a founding member of Art-Speak, the Arts and Cultural Commission for Portsmouth, and is a member of the City of Portsmouth\u2019s Public Art Committee.<\/p>\n

\nFeb. 17 \u2013 Matt Urbansk, principal of Michael VanValkenburgh Associates in Brooklyn, title to be determined;<\/p>\n


\nMarch 10 \u2013 Michael Manfredi, principal of Weiss Manfredi in New York City, on \u201cSurface\/Subsurface;\u201d<\/p>\n


\nApril 7 \u2013 Mark Klopfer, principal of Klopfer Martin Design Group in Cambridge, Mass., title to be determined; <\/p>\n


\nApril 21 \u2013 Mario Schjetnam of Grupo de Diseno Urbano in Mexico City on \u201cLandscape, Sustainability and Public Space.\u201d<\/p>\n
