The Institute certifies participants as trainers in the principles and practices of nonviolence conflict reconciliation.  The daylong classes are held on the Kingston Campus.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe nonviolence center invites teachers, students, counselors, clergy, social activists, nonviolence practitioners and people who struggle to make sense of the violence within and around them to attend this program.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAccording to Paul Bueno de Mesquita, 溏心vlog免费B站 psychology professor and director of the Summer Institute, more than 35 people have already registered. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe program anticipates a team of teachers from the Chicago Public Schools who are part of the Culture of Calm Initiative, which takes place throughout the Chicago schools.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#8220;This year we have already received registrations from Ghana, Nigeria, Colombia, Tanzania, Liberia, India and the U.S.&#8221; Mesquita said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tBernard LaFayette, Jr., a distinguished scholar at the Candler School of Theology, at Emory University, Atlanta, Ga., will facilitate the Institute.  A friend and confidant of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., LaFayette is a civil rights activist, minister, educator, lecturer and an authority on the strategy of nonviolent social change.  Other certified senior trainers will join him.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThere are three levels offered through the Institute.  The 5-day introductory level costs $500, Level I certification runs from July 6 through 16 and costs $750.
