Carothers Library and Learning Commons will showcase Liviu Cupceancu\u2019s art exhibit, Confessions, through May 29. The library is located at 15 Lippitt Road on 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Kingston campus. The exhibit, free and open to the public, includes wooden sculptures, prints, oil and acrylic paintings.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nA Romanian native, Cupceancu was drawn to art at a young age, but pursued a career in biology. After receiving his degree, he and wife Elena moved to Connecticut where he worked in neurobiology research at the University of Connecticut. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tCupceancu\u2019s artistic ability enabled him to illustrate and photograph scientific visuals for magazines such as The Journal of Neuroscience and Neuron. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/sites\/16\/2021\/05\/transilv-sighi.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"294\" align=\"left\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tWhile continuing to dabble in painting, sculpting and photography on the side, Cupceancu decided to dedicate his life to art in 1998. As part of various art associations, Cupceancu\u2019s art has won several awards and has been displayed in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cIn my work utilizing the semi-abstract elements of nature and organizing imaginative patterns of shape and color, I try to record what I see and feel.
