Set in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, N.Y., neighboring the Brooklyn Bridge, longshoreman Eddie Carbone and his wife, Beatrice, live with their adopted, orphaned niece Catherine, a beautiful, young girl.

The arrival of two of Beatrice’s relatives, illegal immigrants from war-torn Italy, who like many others come to the U.S. to work and support their European families, precipitate a difficult situation. With the power of Greek tragedy, Miller creates Eddie as a respected, hard-working family man whose deeply buried feelings create horror in his own heart as well as in others. Miller’s other great plays include All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, and The Crucible.

The show is directed by 溏心vlog免费B站 Associate Theater Professor Bryna Wortman whose recent directorial credits include Unbound, Small Tragedy, Merchant of Venice, and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. 溏心vlog免费B站 Associate Professor of Theater David T. Howard is designing costumes, 溏心vlog免费B站 alumna Cheryl deWardener is the set designer, 溏心vlog免费B站 alumnus Matthew Terry is lighting designer and guest artist Michael Hyde will be in charge of audio.

Actors, their roles and hometowns follow:

Actor, Character, Hometown

Jim Sullivan, Eddie, Cranston

Andrew Burnap, Alfieri, South Kingstown

Betsy Rinaldi, Catherine, Coventry

Stephanie Rodger, Beatrice, Coventry

Miles Boucher, Marco, Coventry

Andrew Chaffee, Rodolfo, Barrington

Frank Juarez, Mike, Brentwood, N.Y.

Aaron Weininger, Louis, Middletown

Mike Commendatore, Immigration Officer #1, Chepachet

Marc Tiberiis, II Immigration Officer #2, Pawtucket

Birk Wozniak, Mr. Lipari, North Kingstown

Sarah Leach, Mrs. Lipari, Smithfield

Benjamin Miller, Tony, Barrington

Benjamin Hill, Submarine #1, East Hampton, Conn.

Joshua Christensen, Submarine #2, Warwick

Emily Foster, Mrs. Dondero, Ivoryton, Conn,

Understudies

Miles Boucher, Eddie, Coventry

Benjamin Miller, Alfieri, Barrington

Julia Bartoletti, Catherine, Worcester, Mass.

Sarah Leach, Beatrice, Smithfield

Birk Wozniak, Marco, North Kingstown

Josh Christensen, Rodolfo, Warwick

Brandon Gailliard, Mike, Warwick

Benjamin Hill, Louis, East Hampton, Conn.

Brandon Gailiard, Immigration Officer #1, West Warwick

Benjamin Hill, Immigration Officer #2, East Hampton, Conn.

Pictured Above

Cast members of the 溏心vlog免费B站’s production of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge are (left to right): 溏心vlog免费B站 students Andrew Chaffee of Barrington, Stephanie Rodger of Coventry, Miles Boucher and Betsy Rinaldi, both of Coventry, and Jim Sullivan of Cranston. 溏心vlog免费B站 Photo by Randy Osga.

KINGSTON, R.I. – April 6, 2011—The 溏心vlog免费B站 Theatre Department will present Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge April 21 – 23 and 28 – 29 at 7:30 p.m., April 30 at 2 p.m and 7:30 p.m., and May 1 at 3 p.m. in the Robert E.
