Four-star <b>General Keith Alexander<\/b>, Director of the National Security Agency; <b>Douglas Maughan<\/b>, Director of the Department of Homeland Security&#8217;s Cyber Security Division; <b>Peiter &#8220;Mudge&#8221; Zatko<\/b>, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency manager; and <b>Jeffrey Troy<\/b>, the FBI&#8217;s Cyber Division Deputy Assistant Director are a few of the featured speakers.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThese leaders will participate in symposium panel discussions about Digital Forensics, Critical Infrastructure, and Network Security and Trust. The symposium will be held on <b>Monday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/b> at the Robert L. Carothers Library and Learning Commons on the Kingston Campus. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required at <a href=\"http:\/\/cybersecurity2011.uri.edu\">http:\/\/cybersecurity2011.uri.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><b>U.S. Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/cybersecurity2011.uri.edu\/langevin.php\">James Langevin<\/a><\/b> commissioned the University to host this symposium to raise awareness of the need to counter threats and improve the safety of cyber networks in Rhode Island and around the globe. A member of the U.S. House Armed Services committee and as co-chair of the Cybersecurity Caucus, protecting our national and economic security from cyber threats is one of Rep. Langevin&#8217;s top priorities. He and <b>Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/cybersecurity2011.uri.edu\/whitehouse.php\">Sheldon Whitehouse<\/a><\/b> will speak at the symposium. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nAmerica&#8217;s most senior cyber warrior, <b><a href=\"http:\/\/cybersecurity2011.uri.edu\/alexander.php\">Gen. Alexander<\/a><\/b>, will be the keynote speaker <b>at 10:30 a.m.<\/b> Alexander is the commander of the U.S. Cyber Command and Director of the National Security Agency\/Chief, Central Security Service.
