\nEvent to be held at Providence Campus<\/p>\n


\nKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 March 7, 2011 \u2013 A 溏心vlog免费B站 communications class will hold a bake sale Monday, March 14 at its Providence Campus.<\/p>\n


\n 溏心vlog免费B站 20 students have planned the event as a class project to learn team communication and skills. All donations will benefit two different non-profit organizations, Crossroads Rhode Island and Kiva, a small lending agency.

\nGoodies will be sold in the lobby of the first floor for prices ranging from 10 cents to $1, although additional donations will also be greatly appreciated. The sale will run from 3:30 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n


\nCrossroads, a local organization founded in 1894, is the largest agency of its kind in the state, helping thousands of homeless individuals and families each year. Its mission is to assist the homeless and disconnected community members on their journey toward a better quality of life. The agency provides basic emergency assistance, shelter, housing, case management and vocational services.<\/p>\n


\nKiva is a small finance organization whose mission is to connect people through lending with the goal of alleviating poverty. After the bake sale, the money raised will be turned over to Kiva in the form of a loan, which will then disburse the money to another small organization across the globe. The organization is a field partner with Kiva, which brings the loan to the entrepreneur chosen by the students. The entrepreneur repays the student group, and then the students put the funds back in Kiva\u2019s hands for another project.<\/p>\n
