\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 November 1, 2012 \u2013 Rhode Island First Lady Stephanie Chafee, the co-founder and president emerita of the Rhode Island Free Clinic, will speak on Nov. 13 as part of the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Honors Colloquium, which examines the politics and money influencing health care around the world.<\/p>\n


\nAll of the lectures in the semester-long series, called \u201cHealth Care Change? Health, Politics and Money,\u201d begin at 7:30 p.m. in Edwards Auditorium on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Kingston campus. They are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n


\nIn her lecture, Chafee will discuss women’s reproductive health issues and how they impact communities in Rhode Island.

\nA registered nurse with degrees from Boston University and the University of Connecticut, Chafee was one of the first nurses in Rhode Island to work exclusively with HIV\/AIDS patients. She is a co-founder of Women Ending Hunger and a community health care advocate. She has served on advisory boards for Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, and the Rhode Island Foundation. <\/p>\n


\nRemaining speakers in the colloquium series include Paul Farmer, founder of Partners in Health (Nov. 19), Michael Fine, director of the Rhode Island Department of Health (Nov. 27), and Unni Karanukara, international president of Doctors Without Borders (Dec. 10). On Dec. 4, the medical musical comedy Damaged Care will be performed.<\/p>\n
