{"id":60296,"date":"2012-08-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-08-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-announces-road-name-changes-to-accommodate-new-construction-road-realignment\/"},"modified":"2012-08-16T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-08-16T00:00:00","slug":"uri-announces-road-name-changes-to-accommodate-new-construction-road-realignment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2012\/08\/uri-announces-road-name-changes-to-accommodate-new-construction-road-realignment\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 announces road name changes to accommodate new construction, road realignment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 August 16, 2012 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Department of Campus Planning and Design has announced several road name and address changes, which will take effect Wednesday, Aug. 22.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe University\u2019s Master Plan Review Committee approved all of the changes.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cWe have worked hard to simplify the road system as the Kingston Campus has evolved with new buildings, gate installations and re-routed and newly built roads,\u201d said Thomas Frisbie-Fulton, director of Campus Planning and Design. \u201cAs the campus community is aware, more changes are under way, including the opening this fall of Hillside Hall and the new College of Pharmacy building.  Also, construction of the new chemistry building, the Plains Road extension, and Route 138 improvements are anticipated to begin in 2013.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe changes are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Heathman Road renamed Butterfield Road. Butterfield Road will now extend from Barlow Circle to Flagg Road.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Baird Hill Road renamed Campus Avenue. Campus Avenue will now run from Upper College Road to Butterfield Road.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u2022 Quarry Road will extend from its current end point in Fraternity Circle to Campus Avenue. The new section will run behind the new Hillside Hall.
