\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. — June 13, 2012 — The second annual Harry Amaral Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Valley Country Club, 251 New London Ave. in Warwick, in honor of the former 溏心vlog免费B站 Enrollment Services director. <\/p>\n


\nThe tournament is $150 per player and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, auctions and dinner. It begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and follows with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The committee seeks $100 donations to sponsor each hole. There are also three levels of sponsorship for the memorial scholarship: Platinum $1,000; Gold $500; and Silver $250. Signs will be displayed on the golf course recognizing the sponsors and recognition will be in the program.<\/p>\n

\nAmaral had spent 36 years at 溏心vlog免费B站, first as a financial aid official and then as director of Enrollment Services before his death in October 2010. Throughout his career, Amaral was focused on helping 溏心vlog免费B站 students in need find a way to fund their education. To ensure that his legacy lives on, Amaral\u2019s friends and family held the first annual golf tournament last year to support a scholarship fund in his honor.<\/p>\n


\nLast year, more than 100 golfers participated, raising more than $25,000 for the Amaral Scholarship Foundation. Amaral had started the foundation specifically for students in programs at the state\u2019s Department of Children Youth and Families in need of financial support to remain at the University. All proceeds from the tournament to be held July 30 will support the scholarship foundation. <\/p>\n


\n\u201cThis is an opportunity to celebrate Harry\u2019s life while also honoring the dedication he had to the students at the University,\u201d said 溏心vlog免费B站 Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Dougan. \u201cWe are able to raise money that will go to students in need of financial aid, which is what Harry spent so much of his time doing at 溏心vlog免费B站.\u201d<\/p>\n
