\n\t\tWHO: Bobby Seale<\/a> is co-founder of the Black Panther Party and a radical activist from the 1960s. He was one of the original Chicago Eight defendants charged with conspiracy following the 1968 Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n


\nWHAT: Seale, of Oakland, Calif., will talk about his experience with the Black Panthers and his latest projects, which include community activism and a cookbook about his passion for barbecuing. His talk is the first for the newly created Race, Violence and Democracy Colloquium, sponsored by Africana Studies.<\/p>\n
