\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 March 14, 2014 \u2013 The Harrington School of Communication and Media will recognize outstanding students at its second annual Public Relations Excellence Awards ceremony at the Alumni Center on March 26 at 3 p.m. Five award categories will capture the essence of student achievement: leadership, most innovative, community\/campus involvement, outstanding internship experience, and impact.<\/p>\n


\nThe Harrington School encourages students to make a difference in the global and local community. Renee Hobbs, the founding director of the Harrington School, said, \u201cWe applaud the achievements of our students as they contribute to make a difference both in the local and global community. Our school\u2019s mission is to work together to use the power of communication and information to make a difference in the world.\u201d <\/p>\n


\nRecent äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ graduate and honorary chairperson, Dominic Green, content and branding manager of (add)ventures in Providence, realizes the significance of nurturing students to develop the necessary skills to make a difference in our local and global community. “The university’s public relations program helped lay the foundation for many key skills I use in my career today. As a former student, I’m honored to take part in a ceremony that recognizes these students for their academic achievements.” <\/p>\n

\n\u2022\tCampus Involvement: Sabrina Brotons of College Point, N.Y., and Cody Frankel of Fair Lawn, N.J.;

\n\u2022\tOutstanding Internship Experience: Sarah Archer of Newburyport, Mass.;

\n\u2022\tOutstanding Internship Experience \u2013 Global Impact: Kylie Rice of Bridgewater, N.J.;

\n\u2022\tImpact Award (Goodwill Industries): Taylor Gilman of Middletown, Henry Mills of Mansfield, Mass., Kyle Rice of Bridgewater, N.J., and Jamie Wessel of Bloomfield, N.J.;

\n\u2022\tImpact Award (Developing Relationships): Amy Belhumeur of Cumberland; and

\n\u2022\tLeadership (PRSSA): Alexandra Baccari of Warwick and Hailey Cowan of Avon, Conn.<\/p>\n
