\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 April 8, 2016 \u2013The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s annual Landscape Architecture Lecture Series continues this month with talks by landscape architects Lauren Mandel and Catherine Seavitt.<\/p>\n


\nMandel, of Andropogon Associates in Philadelphia, will discuss \u201cCraft, Research and Practice: Performance-based Design in Landscape Architecture,\u201d on Thursday, April 14.<\/p>\n


\nSeavitt, of Catherine Seavitt Studio in New York City, will talk about \u201cShifting Sands: Sedimentary Cycles for Jamaica Bay\u201d on Thursday, April 28.<\/p>\n


\nBoth talks will begin at 7 p.m. in Weaver Auditorium at the 溏心vlog免费B站 Coastal Institute, 1 Greenhouse Road, on 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Kingston campus. They are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n


\nSeavitt is an associate professor at City College of New York and principal of the Seavitt studio. Her expertise is design responses to climate change, especially sea level rise. She has developed land-building strategies to stop wetlands destruction in the Mississippi Delta and resiliency strategies for Jamaica Bay, N.Y.<\/p>\n


\n Mandel is a landscape designer and researcher at Andropogon and author of \u201cEAT UP: The Inside Scoop on Rooftop Agriculture.\u201d She has a master of landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental science.<\/p>\n
