All panel discussions are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nPamela Reinsel Cotter, assistant managing editor of breaking news at The Providence Journal, and Dan McGowan, a reporter for Channel 12, will talk about \u201cSocial Media Responsibilities for Reporters\u201d from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 360 at the Memorial Union, 50 Lower College Road.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nJulie Tremaine, creative director of Providence Media, and Jamie Coelho, associate editor of Rhode Island Monthly, will talk about \u201cBreaking into the Magazine Business\u201d from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 308 at the Memorial Union.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nErica Moura, multimedia reporter at the Boston Herald; Peter Huoppi, director of multimedia at The New London Day; Susan Kimball, video reporter at the Portland Press Herald; Sue O&#8217;Connell, co-publisher of Bay Windows; John Freidah, a former photographer for The Providence Journal who now works as a multimedia specialist for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Tim Egan, governor of the Boston chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, will talk about video journalism from noon to 1 p.m. in the Multicultural Center, 74 Lower College Road.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe event is sponsored by the Rhode Island Press Association and 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Department of Journalism in the Harrington School of Communication and Media.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 Oct. 21, 2015 \u2013 Interested in learning how to write responsible social media postings or break into magazine writing? &#13; The 溏心vlog免费B站 will cover those topics and more during Journalism Day, Nov. 5, on the Kingston campus.
