The program will air locally on ABC6 on Saturdays at 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn addition to the neuroscience institute, 溏心vlog免费B站 faculty members Annie De Groot, Mary Sullivan, Nasser Zawia and Tom Manfredi, and Thomas M. Ryan, an alumnus of the University\u2019s College of Pharmacy, will also be featured on various episodes of the program.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re pleased that the University is being featured so prominently and happy that ABC6 will air the program locally,\u201d said Linda Acciardo, director of Marketing and Communications. \u201cThe University has so many relevant and good stories to tell, and it\u2019s great that \u201850PlusPrime\u2019 has chosen to share some of those stories with their viewers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tBased in San Antonio, \u201c50PlusPrime\u201d is hosted by former news reporter Tony Fama, who describes it as a program that &#8220;tells the stories of baby boomers who make a difference in their communities.&#8221; The show will appear in 62 media markets this season.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSummaries of the episodes featuring 溏心vlog免费B站 follow:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022\tSaturday, Sept. 12 \u2013 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s George &amp; Anne Ryan Institute of Neuroscience was established by a $15 million gift from alumnus Tom Ryan, the former CVS Caremark chief executive officer, and his wife Cathy, to find cures for neurodegenerative diseases. The Ryans are interviewed, as are Zawia, director of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Interdisciplinary Neurosciences Program, and an Alzheimer\u2019s disease caregiver.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022\tSaturday, Oct. 3 &#8212; De Groot, director of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Institute for Immunology and Informatics, brings lifesaving vaccines to the women of Mali in Africa, while also establishing a free clinic for uninsured, non-English speaking, first-generation immigrants in Providence.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022\tSaturday, Dec. 26 \u2013 Manfredi, professor emeritus of exercise science, has been a competitive swimmer for 60 years. The segment will show viewers why he\u2019s still competing and how he still records better times than swimmers 10 years his junior. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022\tSaturday, Jan. 9 \u2013 Sullivan, interim dean of the College of Nursing, has devoted 25 years to studying premature babies and the cognitive and physical challenges that sometimes accompany these children into their adult lives.
