KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 June 12, 2026 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Horridge Conservatory<\/a>, part of its botanical greenhouses, has enjoyed many visitors this week to see its largest resident corpse flower<\/a> (Titan Arum, Amorphophallus titanum<\/em>) in its growing stage. The plant has not yet decided to bloom but the University is adding weekend hours so the public can visit. (See livestream here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although predicting the plant\u2019s exact opening is difficult, Benjamin Robbins, 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s greenhouse manager, said the greenhouse will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14<\/strong>, for the public to see the corpse flower. When the bloom arrives, extended viewing hours will be announced on 溏心vlog免费B站 social media so plant-lovers have a chance to experience this rare event. Greenhouse staff have been happy to see all the public interest in one of its more unique specimens. \u201cThis is what it\u2019s all about!\u201d Robbins, a staff member in 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s College of the Environment and Life Sciences<\/a>, said this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conservatory also welcomes support for its program to help feed and grow future corpse flowers and other specimens that the public can enjoy. Donations can be made to the University\u2019s botanical gardens through the 溏心vlog免费B站 Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To visit the corpse flower, visit the 溏心vlog免费B站 Greenhouse (6 Greenhouse Road, Kingston); media can email <\/em>benjamin.robbins@uri.edu<\/em><\/a>. The Horridge Conservatory is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; extended hours until 8 p.m. until bloom, when the conservatory will stay open until 10 p.m. Follow @uri.plantsciences on Instagram for updates on the corpse flower.
