An academic transcript, resum\u00e9, and short statement of interest were required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The internship categories and sources of funding include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Gallogly-Burt Student Internship Fund: internship in the fields of mental health or social services, including but not limited to counseling, psychology, or community-based support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Mark P. Babich Memorial Student Internship Fund: internship in the Psychology Department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Jeffrey Ross and Jennifer Ross Internship Fund: advanced training in the healthcare field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Martin Henry Fund: internship in child health or health system improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/olli\/\">Osher Lifelong Learning Institute<\/a> (OLLI) Internship Fund: internship with 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nancie Herbold Nutrition Department Fund: for undergraduate nutrition majors seeking a dietetic internship and master\u2019s students in nutrition programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA summer internship is a wonderful way to bridge academic learning with experiential learning,\u201d said donor Elizabeth Gallogly Burt \u201979. \u201cThe real-world application of classroom knowledge can solidify career goals, broaden understanding of population needs within a career track, and offer opportunities for building university and community relationships. It\u2019s about putting education into action.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Except for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which supports interns year-round, the rest of the internships are new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Jeffrey Ross \u201975, who received the Dean\u2019s Award for the College of Health Sciences at 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Distinguished Achievement Awards in 2022, was pleased to support his alma mater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSupporting this internship is a natural continuation of my pre\u2011med days at 溏心vlog免费B站,\u201d said Ross. \u201cThe program will foster relationships between students and physicians across a wide range of healthcare specialties and industries.
