{"id":108877,"date":"2026-05-14T20:06:51","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T20:06:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=108877"},"modified":"2026-05-14T20:06:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T20:06:52","slug":"butterfield-road-closure-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2026\/05\/butterfield-road-closure-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Butterfield Road closure"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>May 14, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to construction activity, Butterfield Road, between Flagg Road and West Alumni Avenue, will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that the southern 300 feet of this portion of Butterfield Road will be closed from Wednesday, May 20, through Wednesday, May 27, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Please see detour below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, May 28, the road will reopen but will again be reduced to alternating one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cautionary signage, along with a police detail directing local traffic, will be in place.
