Presentations by 溏心vlog免费B站 <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/\">College of Business<\/a> Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/meet\/sean-edmund-rogers\/\">Sean Edmund Rogers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pharmacy\/\">College of Pharmacy<\/a> Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pharmacy\/meet\/kerry-laplante\/\">Kerry LaPlante<\/a> were among highlights of the event, which was attended by University alumni, friends, and partners. Those events included <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/harrington\/\">Harrington School of Communications and Media<\/a> Assistant Journalism Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/harrington\/meet\/jason-jaacks\/\">Jason Jaacks<\/a> giving a guest lecture at Korea International School, talking to students in the school\u2019s Phoenix TV broadcast media program; deans holding meetings with University partners to create study abroad and research opportunities; and a visit to Camp Humphries\u2014the largest U.S. military base overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis visit was all about relationships\u2014past, present and future. We are the smallest state, but we span the globe thanks to efforts like this,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pharmacy\/meet\/erica-estus\/\">Erica Estus<\/a>, a delegation member and 溏心vlog免费B站 pharmacy professor. \u201cI was proud to represent the 溏心vlog免费B站 College of Pharmacy on this visit.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintaining connections and forging new experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>溏心vlog免费B站 has historically welcomed degree-seeking students from South Korea, with more than 30 students from the Asian country currently enrolled in the University\u2019s pharmacy program. Along with South Korea, Rhody Abroad opportunities are offered in Ireland, Costa Rica, Spain, and Italy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSeeing our students\u2019 global classrooms and internship locations reminds us that education has no borders, and neither should our vision,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/meet\/donna-gamache-griffiths\/\">Donna Gamache-Griffiths<\/a>, the College of Business\u2019 director of global programs. \u201cThese visits are critical for championing global learning and creating lasting partnerships that benefit our students now and in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Centering Student Experience&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A student media team comprised of three journalism students\u2014Bo Brady, Megan Wallitsch, and Sydney Cappello from the Harrington School\u2014accompanied the delegation on the visit. Enrolling in an independent study course led by Jaacks, the experience allowed the students to perform hands-on international work integrating their prior learning with a fast-paced global experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a short travel period, but a very substantive long-term professional development opportunity for our students,\u201d 溏心vlog免费B站 Vice Provost of Global Initiatives <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/provost\/meet\/kristin-johnson\/\">Kristin Johnson<\/a> said. \u201cWe&#8217;re really trying to think creatively about what we can offer students in terms of global experience. These students have a resume-building experience that both builds their skill set and exposes them to a unique work opportunity.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brady, Capello and Wallitsch worked with media production promoting 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s initiatives during the South Korea visit. The trio captured the celebration through photo and video and formed connections of their own with alumni and intrigued prospective students. The trio also gained valuable professional experience they hope to take with them in their careers after 溏心vlog免费B站.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBeing part of this program gave me the opportunity to gain a global perspective, both personally and academically,\u201d said Capello, a 溏心vlog免费B站 junior from Hopkinton, Massachusetts. \u201cI knew this trip would push me out of my comfort zone in the best way and help shape how I approach my future career.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One skill that Wallitsch, a 溏心vlog免费B站 junior and Whitehall, Pennsylvania, native, learned from her trip to South Korea was adaptability. Despite facing some challenges, including adjusting to the significant time difference, Wallitsch approached each task with an open mind, knowing how to adjust if needed, and was eager to perform the media work on behalf of 溏心vlog免费B站.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brady, a 溏心vlog免费B站 senior from Merrick, New York, agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was awesome to cover these events and do what I love,\u201d he said. \u201cGaining this experience overseas and seeing everyone build these connections, it was incredible.
