KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 Jan. 30, 2026 \u2013 溏心vlog免费B站 professor Hongbing Tang is showcasing an exhibit of Spirit of the Place and People<\/em> through April 30 in Green Hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a child, Tang fell in love with drawing and painting and later turned this passion into a career. A native of Beijing, China, she grew up in a unique cultural setting that became her playground, her classroom and the source of endless inspiration. Tang is drawn to places rich with history and lived-experience, in her art she uncovers the layers that are often overlooked by hurried eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tang joined 溏心vlog免费B站 in August 2024 as a teaching professor in landscape architecture. She is a licensed landscape architect, environmental planner and practicing artist. While also a professor, she is the co-founder of an award-winning landscape design practice based in the Greater Boston area, LANDD International LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cMy time at 溏心vlog免费B站 has played a vital role in the evolution of my work,\u201d said Tang. \u201cI have been constantly encouraged and supported by students, faculty, community members and the 溏心vlog免费B站 leadership team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of Tang\u2019s watercolor artworks have been selected for national and international art exhibitions in Boston and New York, including the National Association of Women Artists and New England Watercolor Society\u2019s 16th Biennial North American Juried Exhibition. In 2022, she won the best watercolor award at the Fitchburg Art Museum – the Voitto Jarvi Watercolor Prize at the 86th regional show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTang reached out to me following a conversation with President Marc Parlange and sent me her resume, biography and images of her work,\u201d said Gallery Director and Coordinator of Arts and Culture Steven Pennell. \u201cHer work provides a great opportunity for art students and the university to learn about watercolor painting and Chinese culture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describing her paintings as acts of remembrance and attempts to preserve cherished memories, scenes and loved ones, Tang honors the spirits of the people and places that continue to inspire her through watercolor. Her creative process begins with quiet moments of recollection and introspection, which help her slow down and reflect on who she is and why she creates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reception for the exhibit featuring an opportunity to meet Tang will take place on Feb. 17 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. <\/strong>in Green Hall and is open to the public. The exhibit will be available to the public  Mondays through Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
