IACS accreditation validates compliance with national standards and best practices, expands network resources, and ensures the mental health care provided to students meets the highest standards. Regular annual reviews will ensure continued alignment with IACS standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis recognition speaks volumes about the exceptional work our Counseling Center team does each day to support the mental health and wellness needs of our diverse student body and the broader 溏心vlog免费B站 community,\u201d said Ellen Reynolds, vice president for student affairs. \u201cTheir commitment to compassionate, high-quality care is evident in every aspect of their work, and we are incredibly proud of this achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis well-earned accomplishment reflects the Counseling Center staff\u2019s hard work and unwavering dedication to providing exceptional service, highest level of ethical standards, and innovative therapeutic practices for our students,\u201d said Cory Clark, director of counseling and psychological services. \u201cThis marks the first time our center has achieved this recognition, and we look forward to building upon this achievement in the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staffed by psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, and professional support staff, the 溏心vlog免费B站 Counseling Center helps students lead successful and fulfilling lives through individual and group counseling, referrals, and outreach programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The center also collaborates with other student services and academic departments to provide unique group and wellness opportunities. Through its partnership with the University\u2019s pharmacy college, the center offers a therapeutic horticulture group to explore the healing power of nature, and fitness classes are held weekly to teach students the benefits of exercise on mental health. In the fall, 溏心vlog免费B站 Health Services received grant funding to open the campus\u2019 first collegiate recovery program with support from counseling staff. The collegiate recovery program is a peer-based support program free to all students that provides a safe, inclusive community for those in, seeking recovery from, or reconsidering substance use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Counseling Center also hosts events during the academic year aimed at promoting and benefiting student wellness, including its collaboration with the Center for Career and Experiential Education for the 溏心vlog免费B站 Be 5K walk\/run for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
