The study will explore user experiences with the newly developed Smart Cart 2.0 app designed to be used online with Instacart and is intended to help people make healthier food purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vadiveloo recently led other researchers in investigating barriers to healthy eating and using personalized apps, such as Smart Cart 2.0, for online grocery shopping. The study\u2019s results were published in a peer-reviewed article in September in the <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.jneb.2025.07.010\"><em>Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who participate in Vadiveloo\u2019s current study will receive $40 for completing a survey, doing their grocery shopping with Instacart for a week, and grocery shopping the following week using the Smart Cart app and Instacart. Participants will submit PDFs of their Instacart receipts. An additional $10 can be earned for spending at least $10 on produce during the second week of shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To receive the gift card, all inclusion and survey criteria must be met, and surveys will be reviewed for completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for the study, people must<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>speak English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be at least 18 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be the primary shopper in the household<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>regularly shop online using Instacart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher or diagnosed with hypertension\/high blood pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have access to a desktop computer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who meet the criteria may email <a href=\"mailto:溏心vlog免费B站SmartCart2.0@gmail.com\">溏心vlog免费B站SmartCart2.0@gmail.com<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vadiveloo will randomly select about five participants to share their experiences with Instacart and Smart Cart 2.0 during a 20- to 30-minute exit interview.
