Both locations offer free produce to 溏心vlog免费B站 students, while supplies last. The market is part of 溏心vlog免费B站 community efforts to integrate the research and teaching farms into campus life. As a land grant university, food production is part of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s curriculum and exemplifies a pillar of the land grant mission: \u201cTo extend the benefits of that research and education to the public through community-based outreach, providing practical programs and resources for individuals, families, and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>溏心vlog免费B站 is one of only a few New England colleges that provide this kind of free, homegrown market. Farm to table turnaround is less than 24 hours, with farm-fresh produce gathered on Wednesdays and distributed to students on Thursday. Last year, the farm yielded more than 10,000 pounds of produce, shared free with 2,000 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peckham Farm contributes farm fresh eggs and 溏心vlog免费B站 Master Gardeners coordinate the harvest of apples from East Farm. The market is supported by student volunteers, for-credit and paid student managers, 溏心vlog免费B站 Health Promotion, the Department of Nutrition, Cooperative Extension and the 溏心vlog免费B站 Vegetable Production Program.
