{"id":101252,"date":"2025-04-01T12:56:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-01T12:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=101252"},"modified":"2025-04-01T13:38:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T13:38:40","slug":"uri-hosts-immersive-program-for-high-school-students-during-april-vacation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2025\/04\/uri-hosts-immersive-program-for-high-school-students-during-april-vacation\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 hosts immersive program for high school students during April vacation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 April 1, 2025 \u2013 High school students interested in gaining valuable skills during April school vacation should consider registering for the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/aprilbreak\/\">溏心vlog免费B站 High School Leadership Week: Success Comes Next<\/a> program, from April 14-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, students will immerse themselves in the college experience on 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Kingston Campus, as they engage in interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and team-building challenges designed to enhance leadership, communication, and productivity skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe program was created to empower high school students with the essential skills needed for their next steps\u2014whether that\u2019s college, a career, or personal growth,\u201d said Sky Laurent-Kingsley, 溏心vlog免费B站 Summer Sessions &amp; Winter J Term specialist. \u201cThe program fosters confidence, strategic thinking, and adaptability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/aprilbreak\/program-syllabus\/\">Each day\u2019s activities<\/a> will focus on key areas, such as communication, goal setting, time management, resilience, leadership, and personal branding, equipping students with practical tools to build a successful future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gail Lowney Alofsin, an adjunct professor at 溏心vlog免费B站, book author, motivational speaker, and workshop leader, helped develop the April vacation program and will be one of the presenters. Other speakers will include Laurent-Kingsley, guests from the business community, undergraduate student leaders, adjunct instructors, and staff from the University College for Academic Success and 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/admission\/\">Office of Admission<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program fee is $500. Registration includes program materials, as wells as breakfast, snacks, and lunch in Hope Dining Hall.
