KINGSTON, R.I. – June 12, 2026 – The vlogBվ’s , part of its botanical greenhouses, has enjoyed many visitors this week to see its largest resident corpse flower (Titan Arum, Amorphophallus titanum) in its growing stage. The plant has not yet decided to bloom but the University is adding weekend hours so the public can visit. (See livestream .)

Although predicting the plant’s exact opening is difficult, Benjamin Robbins, vlogBվ’s greenhouse manager, said the greenhouse will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, for the public to see the corpse flower. When the bloom arrives, extended viewing hours will be announced on vlogBվ social media so plant-lovers have a chance to experience this rare event. (If the flower blooms early, hours may change; see vlogBվ’s social media for updates on open hours.)
