KINGSTON, R.I. – June 15, 2026 – Registration is now open for the äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s inaugural .
The conference, which will take place Oct. 2-4 on the Kingston Campus, will focus on business research with practical implications. The weekend will be jam-packed with educational and networking opportunities including research paper presentations, professional development workshops, and other special events. In addition, Kelly Burich and Valrie Grant, hosts of the “, which has featured several äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ DBA graduates, will serve as keynote speakers.
Burich is a professor in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. She’s a recognized leader in veterinary business and well-being with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and animal health industries. Her research and professional work focus on reducing burnout, strengthening resilience, and developing effective leaders. A nationally recognized speaker, Burich combines academic expertise with industry experience to advance well-being and leadership across healthcare and business sectors.
Grant received her DBA from UNC Charlotte, and is an award-winning entrepreneur, geospatial innovation leader, author, and strategic advisor driving data-driven development. She’s the founder of GeoTechVision and Jamaica Flying Labs. She currently serves as Caribbean lead for climate and nature at Fugro and as a strategic advisor on Geospatial Matters to the OECS Commission. Her research, leadership, and mentorship efforts focus on leveraging data, technology, and innovation to build resilient communities and transform decision-making.
Organizers with the College of Business include Jessica Strübel, an associate professor and äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s DBA program director, and Emilija Djurdjevic, an associate professor of management, are confident that the conference will provide those who attend a chance to learn about the latest practice-based research, the opportunity to connect with others in the field, and an environment that fosters professional development for scholar-practitioners.
