Dear Members of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Community,
I am writing to share that Sean Edmund Rogers, dean of the College of Business and Alfred J. Verrecchia-Hasbro Inc. Leadership Chair in Business, will step down from his role as dean, effective June 30.
Since becoming dean in 2023, Sean has provided thoughtful, energetic, and mission-driven leadership to the College of Business during an important period in its history. As the college entered its second century, he helped advance a vision centered on academic excellence, student success, innovation, and meaningful engagement with industry and community partners.
Under Sean鈥檚 leadership, the College of Business strengthened its reputation as Rhode Island鈥檚 flagship business school. The college continued to expand opportunities for experiential learning and professional development, maintained the prestigious AACSB accreditation for both business and accounting programs, and deepened partnerships with employers, alumni, and organizations across the region. The college also continued to expand its graduate and professional programs while fostering a strong culture of faculty engagement and student success.
Sean brought to the deanship a broad range of experience across higher education leadership, teaching, scholarship, military service, and industry. Before becoming dean, he served the University in several key leadership roles, including vice president for community, equity, and diversity; executive director of inclusive excellence for the College of Business; interim director of the Charles T. Schmidt Jr. Labor Research Center; and director of graduate programs in healthcare management and human resources and labor relations. In each of these positions, he demonstrated a deep commitment to student opportunity, organizational improvement, and collaborative leadership.
Sean also has been a valued member of the faculty since joining 溏心vlog免费B站 in 2018 as the Spachman Professor of Human Resources and Labor Relations. A nationally recognized scholar in labor relations, workforce diversity, and employment issues, he has contributed significantly to both the academic and broader professional communities through his research, teaching, and public engagement.
Please join me in thanking Sean for his many contributions to the 溏心vlog免费B站 and the College of Business. Following his service as dean, Sean plans to take a sabbatical to pursue personal projects and opportunities outside of 溏心vlog免费B站 before returning to the faculty.
My office will soon solicit nominations from the College of Business for the appointment of an interim dean. Additional information regarding leadership transition plans and next steps for the college will be shared in the coming weeks.
