Butterfield Road will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from Monday, June 15, through Thursday, July 31. The closure will span from the north side of Lot 17 to the intersection of West Alumni Avenue. For the first few weeks of the closure, the roadway will remain closed overnight.
Please note there will be no through-pedestrian access through this corridor throughout the duration of the closure. Pedestrian access to Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center will remain open. Appropriate fencing and signage will be in place.
Detour Routes:
Southbound: North on Butterfield Road → East on Flagg Road → South on Upper College Road
Northbound: Through the Roger Williams Complex on Complex Road
Cautionary signage, along with a police detail directing local traffic, will be in place. Please allow extra time to reach your destination and use caution when traveling in the area.
